The hardest question for new players — with a simple answer.
AoE commanders (one per troop type)
Each troop type has one commander that hits in an area (multiple targets):

Who to pair them with
Our favorite: Æthelflæd — the legendary from the campaign.
- Skill order 5-1-1-1: she already hits forts and other commanders well.
- Æthelflæd + Sun Tzu has long been (and until nerfed will stay) one of the strongest pairs — even into the Conquest season.
F2P rule for one KvK
Do not spray sculptures:
- One legendary commander
- One purple (epic) commander
That is how F2P should play one KvK: focus, not chasing every meta name.
