Gatherer commanders — do you still need level 37?

How it used to be

Alliance rule of thumb: push gatherer commanders to level 37. That unlocked a bigger gather load so farms emptied faster and marches returned sooner.

Today

That rush is no longer required.

The game now has auto-gather: troops keep collecting from a resource node until it is empty. You do not need the old “hit 37 or waste marches” pressure.

What to do instead

1. Turn on auto-gather and free marches for combat / alliance tasks.
2. Level gatherers when you can — you no longer need to sacrifice combat commanders for gatherers.
3. Because auto-gather exists: at the start, split troops across all available marches — better 5 marches × ~10 000 auto-gathering than 1 march × 50 000.

Ask R4 if your kingdom still wants any special gatherer target for events.
